I think most democrats are aware that fox news isn’t really news. I also think that people who watch MSNBC are aware that it is biased. However, what is scary is when you discuss politics with someone who only listens to Beck, Hannity, O’Reilly, etc; you are constantly met with anger, hostility, worship of the dollar, and an influx of talking points without any sources or evidence to support claims.
It’s like wrapping all of your emotions, opinions, morals, indoctrinations, bonds, and politics together, and then without checking facts, beliefs, values, science, and empirical data, they throw subjectively invalid and incoherent talking points at you. It’s like they don’t even try to understand other people.
That is okay with me though. Just be aware that bulls*** can be smelled from here to Pennsylvania Furnace to Boyertown to D.C. to Elkton and back to Glen Hope.
Anyway, keep it up Fox News. You’re doing the democrats a favor by handcuffing your own politicians with misinformation and inappropriate reporting. Please continue to report whatever you want, however you want. It is your right. Additionally, the constitution is held with higher sanctity than the bible for some people. Just remember, the constitution is made by man. Man is imperfect and flawed. Therefore, the constitution is imperfect and flawed. Makes sense to me…
On the other hand,
If I had a conversation with a constant MSNBC watcher, and all they did was spew Olbermann, Matthews, Shultz, and Maddow rhetoric in to my face, I would be equally upset.
And,
CNN is for oldies.
Loud Dobbs is a dork, dweeb, geek, nerd, charlie brown + pacman looking, ball of hot air.

Spot-on.
You know, the Fox Flakes always like to hearken back to the founding fathers. Yet they were considered liberal fanatics way back when, with all that nonsense about democracy and such.
I guess the only way to get an accurate idea of what’s going on is by catching a bit from all the news channels, then by doing due diligence on the internet. Most folks aren’t that industrious…

Fox news does nothing but fuel the fire for many conservatives that spit nothing but hatred. They want this country to fail.. just so they can say “I told you so.” Hmm.. Lets think back to how we got here…. I’m pretty sure that President Obama is trying to solve the hundreds of problems that the previous administration has left behind. Just because he isn’t doing it the way that they want it- it’s socialism. Its all about creating fear.
Glenn Beck is so crazy that even Fox couldn’t admit that his show is even close to news.. enough said.
I’m so glad that we have people like Jon Stewart to point out how absurd politics can be. Fortunately many people can take a step back and think for themselves before they make a hateful comment. But for those who blindly watch Fox news every day and wait for them to tell them who to hate that week…. well that’s just scary.

One of the main things that bothers me about Beck & Co. is the way they’re acting like the Obama administration is literally forcing unwanted policies on our citizens. To be fair, those policies have always been abhorred by the people who didn’t vote for him. But what about the majority of the people who did? Aren’t democratic elections supposed to be about voting for the people who would support the policies you support? That’s what we did. At least, that’s what I did. If people are displeased with the direction the country is headed, then they’ll have that chance to vote for someone else in 2012. And seriously, if Obama manages to completely destroy our democracy in just 4 years, I promise to stick my entire foot in my mouth on a webcam and post it on this site.
The whole media is soooo melodramatic. Even when Olbermann is ranting about some soundbite most likely taken out of context, I just want to pat him on the back, give him a cookie, and tell him to calm down. If we all stopped screaming at each other, something might get accomplished. I’m so glad we have people like Jon Stewart (a comedian, for God’s sake) to add some much-needed perspective to the bickering. Plus, the melodramatic antics ARE amusing to mock.

Paul,
I may be the most conservitave person you know. ad while we disagree on almost everything we can and should agree on something once in a while. Yes, Fox News and MSNBC are biased. but so also are Cnn, ABC, CBS, and NBC. As well as most large newspapers. I think some sort of bias is inevitable, why is Fox News and Clearchannel Radio Network the only two singled out by the White House?
Remember, the party you support will someday be out of power. Do you think your opinion would change on this issue if CNN, or John Stewart were being singled out?
Why does our White House have someone on the payroll trying to stop someone’s 1st. ammendment right, even if you don’t agree.

It would be hard to argue that Fox News is not biased, however neither is MSNBC, or any of the nightly news programs provided by ABC, CBC, or NBC. CNN might be as close as one can get but still contains bias. The forgotten man in right when he says the print media is biased as well. The one thing I find troubling is that there is really no place to go to find news coverage that is free of bias and opinion. When someone watches Glenn, Hannity, Keith or Ed, they have to know that they are only being fed opinions. It may not be entertaining or get ratings but sometimes all I want to know is the story and the facts relevant to the story.

I agree Swaggle. It saddens me to say that I am currently qualified to report news. All you have to do is be a blogger with a big mouth now. What drives this though? Money. Journalism is more about making money than having pride in reporting a good story now.
Additionally, I feel like a lot of the people who do watch all of the pundits on CNN, MSNBC, Fox, etc still think that they are news and not just political commentary and opinion. That to me is the worrisome part.
